About the Society CEO Dr. Eman Mohamed Salam

Dr. Eman Mohamed Salama, in 2005, co-founded the Multiple Sclerosis Association in Jordan alongside a dedicated group of patients. Their mission encompassed diverse objectives, including education, raising awareness, advocacy, and advancing scientific research in the field. Dr. Salama actively engaged in direct and indirect communication with both the Minister of Health and the Secretary-General, addressing critical issues affecting individuals with multiple sclerosis. These matters included improving the distribution of medications and establishing specialized clinics offering essential specialties like neurology, ophthalmology, urology, and physical therapy. She also emphasized the crucial need for psychological support, and some of these demands have seen realization, beginning with Al-Bashir Hospital, with plans for expansion across the entire kingdom. Drawing on her expertise as a psychological and educational specialist, Dr. Salama developed a therapeutic program aimed at enhancing the mental acuity of multiple sclerosis patients. This program was designed to reduce anxiety and improve their overall quality of life. Dr. Salama is an active community servant who initiated an annual educational awareness project focused on children's developmental stages, regularly published for the public benefit. She also lends her psychological support to various associations and frequently participates in radio and television programs, both locally and regionally. Furthermore, Dr. Salama is an accomplished author, having penned a book that fosters creative thinking. She is also a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor. In her commitment to the cause, Dr. Salama collaborates closely with the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies (MSIF) and actively supports projects aimed at enhancing the well-being of multiple sclerosis patients.
